PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Susta-Med, an androgenic preparation for intramuscular administration, contains four different esters of natural hormone testosterone, Testosterone propionate, phenylpropionate, isocaproate and decanoate.

COMPOSITION:

Each milliliter contains Testosterone propionate 100 mg, phenylpropionate 50 mg, isocaproate 50 mg and decanoate 100 mg. 

DRUG CLASS:

Classified under anabolic/androgenic steroids.

DOSAGE:

Dosage should be adjusted based on individual patient response. The most common dose prescribed is 250-500 mg weekly for men, and 50-75 mg weekly for women. Administer Susta-Med via deep intramuscular injection.

INDICATIONS:

Testosterone replacement therapy is indicated for male hypogonadal disorders, such as after castration, eunuchoidism, hypopituitarism, and in cases of osteoporosis due to hypogonadal male androgen deficiency.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Avoid in known or suspected mammary or prostatic carcinoma in males. Not for use in females.

SIDE EFFECTS AND PRECAUTIONS:

Consistently high doses of testosterone lead to similar adverse effects, including oily skin, acne, excessive hair growth on the face and body, increased aggression, and a decrease in the body's natural testosterone production. Higher doses may also trigger potential weak aromatase, possibly causing gynecomastia, characterized by female-type breast enlargement and sore nipples. Using moderate doses can help reduce the side effects associated with steroids. Interrupt treatment if androgen-associated adverse reactions occur. Monitor patients with cardiac failure, renal dysfunction, hypertension, epilepsy, or migraines as androgens might induce salt and fluid retention. Use cautiously in prepubescent boys to avoid premature epiphyseal closure or precocious sexual development. A decrease in protein-bound iodine may occur but has no clinical significance.

WARNING:

Middle-aged and elderly males with severe circulatory diseases and angina pectoris should undergo androgen treatment under careful supervision.
