PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Tamoxifen functions as an oral selective estrogen receptor modulator, competitively binding to tumor and tissue estrogen receptors, leading to reduced DNA synthesis and inhibition of estrogen effects.

COMPOSITION:

Each tablet contains Tamoxifen Citrate at a concentration of 20 mg.

DRUG CLASS:

Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM).

DOSAGE:

Use and supervision should be under the guidance of a physician or doctor. The most common dose prescribed is 20-60 mg daily for men.

INDICATIONS:

Primarily for early and advanced ER+ (estrogen receptor positive) breast cancer in pre- and post-menopausal women. Also used for breast cancer prevention in high-risk individuals and contralateral cancer reduction.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Avoid in cases of drug hypersensitivity, pregnancy, breastfeeding, liver disorders, or prior thromboembolic disease.

SIDE EFFECTS AND PRECAUTIONS:

Common side effects encompass hot flashes, colpos bleeding, genital itching, nausea, vomiting, headaches, water retention, edema, fatigue, tumor area pain, hair loss, increased liver enzymes, liver changes, and bowel issues.
